This week, we have started reading 'Oliver Twist' by Charles Dickens. We have looked at the characters and the settings, and had a go at writing some of our own descriptive passages. We have also filled out our reading journals and used dictionaries to find the meaning of any unfamiliar words.

Remembrance Day



This morning, 5C took part in a Remembrance Day Assembly. We had a two minutes silence in order to show our respect. The children were all fantastic and knew their lines perfectly! The whole school have enjoyed dressing up and learning about the wars - what a brilliant day!!

Junior Medic session at Aspire Academy

Yesterday, ten Y5 children attended Aspire Academy to take part in a Junior Medic session. The children had a fantastic afternoon and enjoyed learning science in a practical way. Well done to the children that attended, they were a credit to Stanley Primary!

Today, 5C have been drawing 3D shapes on isometric paper. We found it really tricky, but we got there in the end!
